In this video head coach Ross Gilling demonstrates an EdgeFIT Exclusive Olympic lifting movement – the Double Dead Squat Snatch.
This was day one for Ross performing this lift so a light load was used initially and then he attempted to increase the weight by 8kg’s each set [2x12kg-2x24kg].
The double dead squat snatch is an advanced movement that has similarities to the barbell squat snatch, however, it is also very different in many ways. Using two independent loads and catching in the much narrower overhead squat position makes this lift very challenging. Initially lifting large loads may prove challenging, but we believe that with time spent drilling all aspects of the movement and consistently performing the lift will result in the ability to lift substantial loads.
