UnBROKEN

Introducing EdgeFIT UnBROKEN! “What’s Your Breaking Point?!”…

The latest training protocol from EdgeFIT. EdgeFIT Unbroken is a simple but effective training program for developing strength, endurance, stamina, and mental toughness.

How does it work?

The goal of EFUBK is to perform all reps or sets within a workout without resting or breaking up the movement(s).

Singlets [1 movement]

The goal of singlets is to achieve 100 reps utilizing unbroken sets, e.g. 10×10, 5×20, 4×25, 2×50, 1×100 reps. Athletes may rest as needed between sets, but there is usually a 10 minute time limit on singlet workouts unless otherwise stated.

Couplets, Triplets & Clusters [2+ movements]

The goal of couplets, triplets and clusters is to perform all sets within a workout unbroken, e.g. if the workout asks for 20, 16 & 12 reps of pull ups and push ups the goal is to perform 20 unbroken pull ups [can't come off the bar], 20 unbroken push ups [can't break the plank position or rest at the bottom, has to be touch and go], then 16, then 12. Athletes will rest as needed b/w exercises. If an athlete fails to achieve any sets unbroken they can choose to rest and attempt the set again or they can record how they broke up the set [e.g. round 1: pull ups 15+5, round 2 & 3 unbroken] and attempt to better their score the next time they perform the workout.

KB Couplets, Triplets & Clusters [2+ movements]

The goal of KB workouts is to perform all sets within a workout unbroken and without setting the kettlebells down throughout the entire workout. An example of this type of workout is:

“Nico”

Perform 24, 16 & 8 reps for time of:

Double Push Jerks

Double Half Snatches

If an athlete fails to perform the entire workout without setting the kettlebells down then they should record how they broke up the set [e.g. round 1: unbroken, round 2: PJ 10/6, HS 16, round 3: unbroken] and attempt to better their score the next time they perform the workout.
