Directions to RiversEDGE 5k & Challenger:
From Rutherfordton take Hwy 64 East like you are going toward Morganton. Continue approx. 6 miles. After you pass Parton Lumber Company, Janua Coeli will be on your left. You will see a gate and fountain at the entrance and signs to direct you.

RiversEDGE 5k is the only Trail Run in Rutherford County’s Puzzle Creek Run series. If you have never done a trail run or if you
have done many, don’t miss this run! A combination of grass trail and light gravel on Janua Coeli farm, HWY 64 east of Rutherfordton.
EdgeFIT Challenger
After the RiversEDGE 5k, stay and participate in the EdgeFIT Challenger. This is a Crossfit style fitness challenge using kettlebells and other unconventional training tools. There will be categories for beginner, intermediate and advanced. Challenger starts after the 5K.

[10] Double Hang Cleans
[8] Double Push Press/Jerk

Advanced – Males: 2x20kg, Females: 2x12kg
Intermediate – Males: 2x16kg, Females: 2x8kg
Beginner – Males: 2x12kg, Females: 2×15# [3 rounds]
Newbies – Males: 2x8kg, Females: 2×12# [3 rounds]

[20] Air Bells [beginners/newbies will perform bottoms up thrusters]
[100 yd] Hill Sprint [50 yd turnaround]

Intermediate – Males: 16kg, Females: 8kg
Beginner – Males: 12kg, Females: 15# [2 rounds]

ok – i’ve started to run.. about 3 miles give or take – today did KB after the 3 mile run – tomorrow will do “steamboat hill” after ..uh….i hope i survive this!
